Summer soccer tournaments

There are a multitude of soccer tournaments this summer and some of them even allow parents and coaches to sign up players that aren’t part of an organized team. This can be a great way for your child to enhance their skills and increase their level of play in preparation for the upcoming fall season. Another benefit of some of these “one-off” type tournaments is exposing your child to players from other leagues that they may not otherwise have an opportunity to compete against. It can also be a fun day or weekend trip with potential opportunities for sight seeing in the area (fitting this in around game times, of course). This can be a great, non-committal way of testing the travel team waters if your child has not yet advanced to that level, giving you an idea of what lies ahead to gauge both you and your child’s interest level. There are tournament fees involved and potential travel costs (depending on where you live) but it’s a great way to fit in some summer soccer!

I’ve listed some tournaments in the region and I’ve also provided links to search for additional tournaments if you don’t see what you’re looking for here.
