In a game where both teams were quite evenly matched, and the U.S. should feel chagrined to have let a point slip through its fingers due to individual errors.
With most of the US roster for the first qualifier of the Hex flying in from overseas after the disappointing draw with Canada, a win would be wonderful, but getting a point should be seen as a victory.
Considering the good vibes coming out of the USMNT training camp and Canada’s 4–0 defeat to Denmark just days previous, to see such a low-speed, low-energy game was a shock.
