Help Wanted
The Philly Soccer Page is looking for a few good people. If you’re interested, please email PSP editor Dan Walsh at [email protected] or contact us through our Contact page.
- Web site troubleshooter/webmaster
PSP needs an experienced coder with experience using WordPress who can help resolve technical problems when they arise on PSP’s background. The role entails as little or as much time as you’re willing to put in. It could be anything from troubleshooter to full-on webmaster. Bottom line: PSP has become a big site, and we need someone with technical expertise to help fix problems as they arise.
- Ocean City Nor’Easters writer
PSP is looking for two writers to join our weekly rotation of Fans’ View posts. The idea here is to be a voice of the fan and write about the fan experience from the fan’s point of view. Objectivity is not required. We’d like to add two writers to our rotation so that everyone writes one column every four weeks or so. The writers can come with any angle, but of particular interest would be writers who could write from the perspective of a:
- soccer mom/dad taking kids to the games
- member of a supporters group
- supporter of a minor league team
1 post per month, April-October.
Writer wanted to write a regular column on the local high school scene during the season. It could be weekly, biweekly, or monthly, depending on the availability of the contributor. 1 post per week/month, September-December.
- Local clubs in big tournaments
Writer wanted to follow how local teams do in the U.S. Open Cup (including qualifiers) and other key tournaments. This could be anything from storied local amateur clubs like Phoenix SC and United German Hungarians on up to the semipro and professional teams. Posts as needed.
Writer wanted to write about youth soccer in the region. A regular column could be weekly, biweekly, or monthly, depending on the availability of the writer. 1 post per week/month.
