Help Wanted

The Philly Soccer Page is looking for good people who can produce cool content about soccer.

If you’re interested, please email PSP editor Dan Walsh at [email protected] or contact us through our Contact page.

Here are some of the topics we’re looking for people to write on. (Note: This list is not exclusive. Got a good idea? Let us know.)

Writer wanted to write 1 or 2 posts a week about the Harrisburg City Islanders, the Union’s USL Pro affiliate. Our writers can gain broad access to the team if they so choose or write from more of a distance. 1 post per week, April-September.

Writer wanted to write 1 or 2 posts a week about the Ocean City Nor’Easters, the most well-known USL club in southern New Jersey. Our writers can gain broad access to the team if they so choose or write from more of a distance. 1 post per week, May-August.

Philadelphia soccer fans need a good voice of the fans. At PSP, our writers are all soccer fans, but because we want to provide objective and expansive coverage not available anywhere else, we usually try to write from a more objective point of view.  We’re looking for writers to write about the fan’s experience from the fan’s point of view. Objectivity is not required. So whether you’re in the Sons of Ben, Bearfight Brigade, or no supporters group at all, we’re looking for one or two writers to weigh in on a semi-regular basis. 1 post per month, April-October.

Writer wanted to write a weekly column on the local high school scene during the season. 1 post per week, September-December.

  • Local clubs in big tournaments

Writer wanted to follow how local teams do in the U.S. Open Cup (including qualifiers) and other key tournaments. This could be anything from storied local amateur clubs like Phoenix SC and United German Hungarians on up to the semipro and professional teams. Posts as needed.
