watched the tape this AM since I was driving home from covering the Steel and Pittsburgh.
    .
I have been an unrelenting critic of Roland Alberg’s movement about the field, especially defensively. And I remain doubtful.
But he was more of a presence Saturday night than usual, as he was when he came off the bench recently in Chester.
    .
Credit to the man that he has improved his play.

Just got a flash from Steel communications man Tom Via that the Union have signed Fontana as a homegrown player.
    .
Before reading it, I wonder how the got him onto the roster, if he is signed to the Union, since the Union roster is at 31. Hopefully the stories will cover that angle.
    .
Update: Via’s release states the signing will take effect January 1, 2018. I am assuming that is how the roster issue raised above is finessed.
