Philadelphia Union announced on Wednesday Andre Blake has been called up by the Jamaican National Team for World Cup qualifiers against Costa Rica on March 25 and March 29.

Blake will be away on international duty from March 21 through March 30, and will join the Jamaican team after Sunday’s home opener against New England Revolution. The Union do not play again until April 2 when they are on the road at Chicago so, barring an injury, Blake will not miss any Union games.

This is Blake’s first call up for Jamaica in 2016, and his third since September. Since making his debut with the team in the 2-0 win over Barbados on March 2, 2014, Blake has earned 13 appearances with the Jamaican team.

But at the same time, it would be interesting to see how Jones does. Time will tell though since next time Blake is called up he will likely miss few games.

I’m sorry, but I will never have a positive experience with a Union keeper who has experience in that little tournament. But good luck Andre!
