The USA moves on to the hexagonal round of World Cup qualifying in CONCACAF with Tuesday night’s 3–1 win over Guatemala, and the Philadelphia Union are back to work against Houston on Saturday. Philadelphia Union forward Jack McInerney joins KYW Philly Soccer Show to help you get caught up on it all.

McInerney joins KYW’s Greg Orlandini and PSP writer Eli Pearlman-Storch to help break down, from the players’ perspective, the US win over Guatemala. The game was a bit nervy early on, with former Union striker Carlos Ruiz putting Guatemala ahead.

But US midfielder Clint Dempsey put the Yanks on his back, scoring two goals and setting up another.

McInerney also discusses his recent hot streak, with three goals and an assist to his name over the last three games, as well as preparing for Houston and KC, looking ahead to next season, and more.

Jack was great cohosting our opening segment on the USMNT. Funny to think that he won’t be thinking about his post soccer broadcasting career for at least a decade and a half.
