The Philadelphia Union announced on Tuesday the signing of the remaining draft picks in camp—Greg Jordan, Raymon Gaddis, Krystian Witkowski and Antoine Hoppenot—and goalkeeper Chase Harrison.

Jordan and Gaddis were selected by the Union in January’s SuperDraft, with Jordan being selected 32nd over all Gaddis 35th overall. Gaddis has previously spent two seasons with Union PDL-affiliate Reading United.

Witkowski was the 26th overall pick in the Supplemental Draft, Hoppenot the 39th pick. Hoppenot played his college soccer at Princeton.

Witkowski’s agent had leaked his signing via Twitter last Thursday but the tweet, and accompanying photograph of the rookie signing what appeared to be a contract, was soon removed.

Harrison spent time with the Union in September of 2011 as a backup keeper following the injury to Faryd Mondragon. In 2011, Harrison led Union USL-affiliate Harrisburg City Islanders to the league’s championship game, which was lost to Orlando City after penalty kicks. Harrison also played for the City Islanders in 2009.

All of the new signings except for Witkowski saw time in the second half of the Unions 1–1 draw with Orlando City last Saturday.

  1. Just noticed that these signings put us at 31 roster players. With MLS rosters capped at 30, who is going to be the odd man out? I’m guessing Jimmy McLaughlin gets left off and plays with the reserves and in friendlies for this year?

  2. SCRATCH THAT, we’re at 26. My bad. How did I count so terribly?
