The Philadelphia Union announced on Monday that Trinidad & Tobago goalkeeper Thorne Holder has been reacquired.
Holder was waived on July 26, presumably to free up an international spot on the Union roster. With the summer transfer window now closed, and the sole Union signing being the American Freddy Adu, Holder returns to the club to re-fill the vacant third goalkeeper role.
The 25-year-old played five games for USL Pro side FC New York after being waived by the Union where he recorded a 2–2–1 record with two shutouts.

Shame on them for screwing around like that to begin with. At least they had enough sense to pick the guy back up.
Seems like a good kid. The Union never follow the path of least resistance, do they ?
Yey, so excited!
