City sacks Mark Hughes

Manchester City have fired Mark Hughes and hired Roberto Mancini to a 3.5 year contract.  City spent $161 million in the summer in an effort to crack the top 4 and grab a Champions League place.    But they currently sit in 6th, six points behind 4th place Aston Villa.  While looking positive coming forward most weeks, City have been leaky at the back and have conceded 27 goals in only 17 games.  They also lead the Prem with a whopping 8 draws.  The shake up came just hours after City defeated Sunderland 4-3 in Manchester.

Mancini was most recently affiliated with Inter Milan where he won the Serie A in 2006, 2007, and 2008 before being fired at the end of 2008 campaign.
